Letter to My Daughter:

My dearest daughter,

I wanted to take a few minutes and let you know a few things about life. We talk frequently about the consequences of our actions and how they affect everyone around us but today I would like address one particular area that we haven’t talked about. You are 7 years old and constantly being told how pretty you are; however, there will come a day when you will have to make a choice on how to present yourself to the world. That is what I would like to take a moment to talk about now.

There are people who will tell you that it is OK wear barely there clothes and you should be allowed to wear what you feel comfortable in. That is completely true. You should be allowed to wear what you are comfortable in but this is were the consequences of your actions will affect you and others around you… It is always up to you to decide how you want people to treat you! You are going to be a strong beautiful woman one day and I know you will want people to notice you. You must decide how you want them to notice you by the way you present yourself to the world. If you portray an over sexual image then I can promise you that is how people will see you! However you can choose to be known for who you are instead of what you are and that is truly an amazing person. I promise people will know you and you will find everything you need in life by being you! Not just by what you have physically! It is up to you to make that decision and I hope I can guide you in such a way that this is an easy decision for you.

With all my love,

Your Momma!
